CT River Museum Holiday Train Show 2020-2021

The family-friendly Connecticut River Museum Holiday Train Show in Essex, Conn., opens Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020.

Train artist Steve Cryan brings more trains, new scenery, and lots of surprises to be found in the fully operational 26-foot model train layout.

Visitors are challenged with the “I SPY” scavenger hunts for objects hidden both in the train layout and the entire third floor. The American Flyer and Lionel train layout is specifically designed for toddler-size viewing. An outing to this locomotive extravaganza is perfect for train fans and all who are young at heart. Sponsored by Lorensen Auto Group, the exhibit runs through Feb. 14, 2021.

“We look forward to welcoming guests to the museum for the 27th annual train show exhibit. Although we have to make slight changes to the overall experience because of the pandemic protocols, the important thing is that this beloved tradition will continue,” Connecticut River Museum Executive Director Jennifer Carlson explained.
