Bountiful Farmers Markets, Winter Edition

Family time - fresh good food, fresh air, plenty to share at a winter farm market.
Friendly people, nifty products, tasty samples, wonderful colors - all can be found at winter farm markets if you know where to look. Every single weekend in Connecticut there are farm markets held, both inside and out.

The CitySeed farm market, which sets up near Wooster Square in New Haven, is all outdoors. (The next one is Saturday, Feb. 6, and again on Feb. 20; see site for more details.)
People flocked to stock up with fresh produce, meat, dairy and specialty foods. Across the street is Wooster Square Park, a great level walk (a snap for strollers or seniors to navigate.) Leacy Davis of New Haven is a crossing guard who not only helps everyone cross safely, but was a ray of sunshine on a somewhat bleak winter day. (Thanks Leacy!)
